SPELL BINDERS DEVLOG 4.2

New Company Logo

Some of you may know, or maybe none of you know ๐Ÿ˜†, that Spell Binders is developed under our Video Game production name MirroElia Studios. Up until now, we have not had an official logo for our game dev studios.

Now that Spells Binders has really been establishing an audience, it was time to change that. Check out our official logo.


Battle Action Sequences

There's been a lot of rethinking regarding the action sequences from attacks, particularly with Lany and Kyrie. There physical attacks would flash the screen white and teleport the fighters to the center of the screen and then teleport back in place. This looks cool, but in theory, it doesn't work as well as we may have thought.

We have be careful about adjusting the screen flash back to the correct color base on the what's happening in the game. For example, is it night time? Or day time? This becomes difficult to track.

Also, I think that visually this works better for SUPER MOVES, which characters don't have access to yet. So we are reworking the action sequences. You can see the before and after

EPSIODE 2

We're right on the heels on the release of Episode 2. It's been exciting to see the discussion on discord reading everyone's thoughts on who the man in Black Hair is. Writing for the story is definitely without question my favorite part of developing Spell Binders! And answers will soon be revealed. Next time you hear from us, it will be for the release of Episode 2.
